Is megabuy.com.au Safe?

Absolutely abysmal service. These guys are straight up thieves. Ordered a PC from the Megabuy website and what was delivered had the wrong processor, drives, and was completely missing the graphics card as advertised. After hours of back and forward explaining the issue over email with great difficulty, I was told to lodge a returns claim. Days later I have heard nothing back even after following up via email. A paypal dispute has been launched but I have no hope that this will be resolved satisfactorily. And now I am going without the PC I needed as it's in a box on the floor. Do not go anywhere near this business, you will be robbed blind.

They are 'drop shippers' - I get that. I ordered & paid for a downloadable software license key (ESD). This is not a physical good. My credit card was billed immediately. After six days of 'we'll get right on it', they had still not provided the software key, kept my money & 'cancelled' the order. I now have to go through the rigamarole of pursuing a fraud claim with my bank. Would you deal with them? *n.b. I was never provided with an invoice.

It's hard to know where to start, there are so many things wrong with this business - from the very structure to the incompetence with which it is maintained. Basically, they provide no tracking and no accountability. If you want to know where your package is, you call them, they make a note and don't call you back. You call them again, they tell you 'there was a problem with the courier, we'll email you', and they don't. This is after their online form fails, their chat fails due to javascript problems at their end and so on. I've waited a week and a half for a UPS which I need quite urgently and I still don't know when, or if, it will be dispatched. Yet another blacklisted Australian business, along with Emart, Billy Guyatts and others. ..........When they did finally send the tracking there was no courier details attached, so I had to call them again. After a lot of searching and ummm, hmmm, ummmm: 'We sent you the wrong tracking email, I'll send you the right one now'. I pity the probable backpackers who work in their call-centre, because management are all fools, utter fools. My package will now arrive approximately 2 weeks late. Welcome to the Lucky Country.
