Is members.driverguide.com Safe?

Their download process is MISERABLE. I can handle the captcha-like verification question, but the installer they download WRECKS YOUR MACHINE. It tries to install a bunch of adware, then screws up Firefox, installs a Bing search (EVEN THOUGH I NEVER AGREED TO THAT), and fries your Firefox session, deleting all your open tabs.

I asked for a pdf manual and I was forced to run an exe which installed addons/extensions. I had the option to refuse just one additional software but not the extension. Anyway, the worse is that the file that I downloaded, was not even the manual ! (just a generic Intel Application Accelerator, which is not I asked for of course) Not recommended site.

When I need a driver for a customers’' computer and I have spent a very long time looking, these driver sites come in through Google and pollute the work I am doing, hustling me to buy into their site for a fee. They are misleading using the name of the device in their search engine description as though they represent the company.

Ho un account da molto tempo su questo sito, e ho sempre trovato buoni driver e firmware; vi sono anche molti fake ma basta saperci buttare l'occhio (è un sito che si basa sulla condivisione da parte di altri utenti, una controllatina con antivirus male non fa). Un tempo i tool che offrivano erano gratuiti *davvero gratuiti*, vedo che ora l'andazzo è di offrirli a pagamento o presunto tale ma non è un modus operandi di solo questo sito. Nel complesso esperienza positiva, anche se è un po' che non scarico driver e comunque non so come si comporti con hardware recente/recentissimo; con hardware datato è fenomenale. Nulla toglie di controllare *prima* la disponibilità di driver sul sito del costruttore.
