I was taking some classes in business and I did a study on websites like monster and others like it. Monster was one of the highest for getting spam and 1/8 of these jobs someone will respond. So the legitimacy of this site is in question. Wither they have changed their tune I don't know but I will say they are putting up ads on Hulu. One other thing look for you local Department of Labor website its much safer than using something like this. Oh and if someone does put something on their website that is bogus there is legal action done. So 99.9% of the time on those sites your not gonna find something that just spam.

After I signed up with Monster.com, I started getting job offers for Insurance Agent Positions, for which I have NO experience for and NO desire for.
Probably not totally Monster's fault, but it does mean they sign up unethical employers...
I'd stay away.

Some offerings seem legitimate, those many seem to be dead ends or advertisements. I have looked for jobs on this site and not found anything worth pursuing or that had enough information. Some are spam aka recruiters.

Apply for all the jobs you want. Leave your resume on there and they will send you jobs you may be qualified for. I have used this site a lot lately.

I have never posted a resume here, but I do use the site for good ideas on building resumes and the job market in general.
