These guys sell extremely overpriced, ripoff cables. HDMI has error correction built in, and as long as your equipment can determine whether something's a 1 or a 0, it'll work. You gain nothing with Monster cables over the $3 generic ones you can get online.

They sell decent products, but are way, way overpriced for what they offer. Also, they are trying to trick the customer into believing their products are superior, e.g. by comparing a Monster-powered 1080p HDTV to one that shows a non-HD picture with cheap, generic cables.

monster cables are overpriced rip offs. digital signals are transmitted in binary language, when the signal gets to the other side, a one is a one, a zero is a zero; the cable used to transmit is irrelevant. the only place where cable quality comes into play is with analog signals, such as speakers, analog video signals, etc. even here, monster makes no mention of the wire gauge or purity of copper they use, which are the things that actually make a difference. higher gauge+pure copper=less resistance=stronger signal. gold plating is another load of crap. silver is a better conductor, but then their cables would be the same colour as all of the other "cheap" cables; purely a visual sales gimmick to justify their extreme prices.

I purchased a power strip with a "warranty" when a product failed during a power outage they made me jump through hoops, wait on hold for hours then didn't replace the failed component. While on hold they had a rock star using the "f" word in an add. Their cables are also WAY overpriced when you get the same quality for fractions of the cost. For example: 6' HDMI cables cost $3- $5 and give full 1080p at monoprice.
