This is the official website of NACHA - which provides regulatory information that benefits consumers and banks alike.

Spam consisting solely of "Subject: Everyone wants a firm backside" with two suspicious-looking attachments (who sends .rar files anymore?). No text.

The spam is not originating from NACHA. This is a safe site.

I got spam saying "The ACH transaction (ID: AE526A04FE14), recently initiated from your bank account (by you or any other person), was rejected by the other financial institution. Transaction ID: AE526A04FE14 Reason for rejection See details in the report below Transaction Report ACH_Report-AE526A04FE14.pdf (Adobe Reader PDF)" The attachment actually contained a .exe file which I did not open. Probably a virus...

Unfortunately the people giving this site a bad rating simply do not know enough to recognise a spam e-mail which spoofs the 'from' address as coming from NACHA (when it doesn't), or even in some cases are naive enough to click a faked-up link in the spam e-mails which then attempts to download malware from a different site entirely. The NACHA site itself appears to be entirely legitimate, but any e-mail which purports to originate from it is very likely to be spam using social engineering to dupe the unwary into installing malware.

"The NACHA site is fine. The reference to the site is to get you to click on the links in the email. Besides, sender addresses are almost always spoofed in scam emails. Really should check out things before giving the reputation. This can make WOT not work by having too many false negatives. " This seems to be true. The linked "ms word doc" seems to be on a seperate domain, in my case *****

The Spam-Mails NOT from NACHA.ORG!!! The Spam-Mails all send by infeced PC's from India. I think this is a BOT. The links disguised as links to NACHA.ORG. Visitors to the sites mentioned in the spam invites to infected files on the PC. The download of these files is done in the background.

A user on the Avast Forum reports a relative may have received a Phishing E-Mail from this site nacha.org today. Not quite enough evidence for a poor rating, but in the interest of protecting the WOT community, I will categorize this in the Phishing Category with a Yellow (Caution) rating overall Here is the comment: ***** Please be aware of a potential phshing scam at this site.
