Is pcmag.com Safe?

These how-to guides are quite handy. The only thing I can scold this platform for - delayed content in terms of relevance. There are other resources where how-to guides are published way faster, and once a certain thing is released, the next day there is a how-to guide. Nevertheless, the comprehensiveness of the conveyed information in guides from PcMAg is better. I mean, it's quite easy for me to perceive information and then sort things about the gadget right away. So, this is an advantage.

It's cool that apart from just selling products, they provide with some news from the technological world. It's essential, as if you are a geek like me, then you are definitely interested in what is happening. For instance, new iPads were recently released and there is already an article of the outlook on this product. I haven't bought here anything, but I am planning to. It just takes a bit more time for me since I have to get convinced of the quality of products I am about to acquire. All in all, thanks.

It's pretty good...if you want to laugh at weird shit. / Functionality / Functionality on this thing is pretty low:only search for stuff in 2 ways. / Trust / ALL ARTICLES ARE BIASED AND FILLED TO A FUCKSHOLE WITH ADS.Like every.Single.ONE. They make misleading articles like 'WOT can't be trusted!!!1!!' for like 6 y/o to click. That same misleading articles also links LOTS of stuff at you,like cmon...why do i need Halo 1 for PC,if I am reading an article (biased one) on WOT? / Popups / Luckily,there's almost no ads,there's only a SINGLE popup telling about their 'subscription' (whatever the hell that is),and that's about it. / Score / Im giving it 3/5 stars because technically it IS a newspaper...only with more bias and ads than a normal one would have.I would personally recommend to those people who laugh at absurd news articles;for them,it's your to laugh at!

there seems to be lots of sponsored content on pcmag.com the do have some small disclaimers about the fact that they make money from affiliate links on some of the pages - but i don't think the average user can see it. there's an ethical problem with them covering the tech industry while make money from the entities they cover. it's a respected publication and everyone has to make money to survive i just think they should be more clear about which content piece is sponsored and which is completely unbiased.

A great site for internet news and tech info, though it does feature some annoying pop up ads, and the loading times are rather bad, but ultimately it is a good site. ***** I used to refer to this site regularly, but I have had enough. The sponsored links and biased reporting on AV are one thing. Had a puff piece for McAfee AV paid which I believe is worse than free MSE. I followed the link "Top 5 AV" which was just to 5 sponsored links: 1 was to a misleading site (pretending to be a comparison site but just ad for a poor AC" 1 was to a site which is blocked by malwarebytes due to malware links. 1 was to McAfee AV

For this site, I have assigned a rating between good and suspicious for the My WOT Trustworthiness scale.  The articles are good, and the reviews are helpful.  However, the site's level of trust is somewhat compromised by the banner ads and pop ups that hinder its quality.  I would recommend a quality ad blocker, such as Ad Block Plus, to be installed on your browser(s) of choice before visiting the site.  If the pop-ups were removed, the site would be much better.
