Is rationalground.com Safe?

Rational Ground (rationalground.com) The title of this website belies its blatant irrationality and lack of scholarly value. The writers are comically illogical. For example, on the About page (rationalground.com/about), no staff or credentials are presented. Instead, the page states (referring to the Black-Plague's effects on Milan in the 17th century), "The fatality rate of the plague has been estimated between 30% and 60% but … the more ruinous part of the disease was its impact on the citizenry itself." What do Rational Ground's authors think was "more ruinous … on the citizenry" than losing 30-60% of the population? The fear citizens suffered from warnings about the deadly disease itself. They then claim that "COVID-19 has had the same effect" and that "fear-mongering" (e.g. advice from the CDC and other experts in managing pandemics) is worse than the disease itself (which in the US alone has killed over 600,000 citizens and sickened 10s of millions). One of the 3 stated goals of this website is to "Design supporting evidence to change public policies across the United States and elsewhere." As any rational, educated person knows, evidence isn't designed—it is acquired through carefully constructed scientific studies and then published in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Also, evidence isn't acquired "to change public policies" or for any other reason. Carefully acquired evidence helps lead us to, discover, and explain aspects of reality. Clearly, ***** is a biased, political website designed to attack any scientific findings that conflict with the personal and political concerns of the website's owners.
