I can say as a Christian that this website is a quack. I'm not even sure what it's trying to say sometimes.

This is a really good website to learn clear and objective facts about many religions.

A fairly accurate religion site, and they don't aim to bash anyone. But they do make a case for some rather 'liberal' interpretations regarding social issues, which ought to be born in mind. However, unless you're looking for a perfect and totally unbiased site, this is worthwhile one to visit. Sexuality is a major topic here, so 'child safety' depends on the parent's discretion regarding those issues.

religioustolerance.org is the website on comparative religion owned and ran by the OCRT, the Ontario Consultants for Religious Tolerance, a small and independent group of non-professional authors. Their website sometimes gets mistaken for a Scientology website because a similar URL was once bought and taken over by scientology. www.religioustolerance.org is however, NOT that website. Please thumbs-down comments that perpetuate this confusion. OCRT have a page on Scientology that is correctly critical of the oddbaal and malfarious 'religion'.

This site is NOT RELATED TO SCIENTOLOGY, perhaps people have it confused with a site called Religious Freedom Watch. I find this site an extremely useful resource on religion, personally I have not seen as wide-ranging a site on the Web as far as spirituality is concerned.
3
The author of the site has bad grammer, but overall I found it quite helpful and a lot better than some of the other sites I've explored.

Should be removed. There is nothing good in islam

Contrary to assertions made here, the site is not owned by the Church of Scientology. That was a claim, later disproved and withdrawn, made by someone at the Snopes forum. The confusion arose partly from the fact that most of their old material on Scientology came from Scientologists, partly from the fact that—true to their core purpose—they refuse to outright condemn any major religion, no matter how cultish.
3
This site lies. They say that Conservative Christians believe the Bible is only understood by those who are "saved" and is otherwise totally confusing. The exact quote is, "How one can understand the Bible: One must first be 'saved' before the Holy Spirit will help you understand the Bible. Otherwise, the Bible is totally confusing." This is a COMPLETE AND UTTER LIE! Avoid it. It is distributing misinformation to suit its own purpose.
4
I am the website's main author and are thus probably biased. But most of the objections here are related to our essays on Scientology. None of our group of 5 are Scientologists. We are not a Scientology front group. We discuss many dozens of different faith groups on our site. But our essays on Scientology seem to be a lightning rod.

A front organization for a dangerous cult, Scientology.

The dangerous Scientology cult makes a misinformation site; lousy attempt to make it look impartial/by somoene else.
7
they preach tolerance of all religions I see nothing wrong with that, just because they have information about Scientology "which is considered a religion" i don't like them either but that doesn't mean i cant tolerate them

We are a multi-faith group. As of 2008-FEB, we consist of one Atheist, Agnostic, Christian, Wiccan and Zen Buddhist. Thus, the OCRT staff lack agreement on almost all theological matters, such as belief in a supreme being, the nature of God, interpretation of the Bible and other holy texts, whether life after death exists, what form the afterlife may take, etc.
5
This site is related to Scientology.org, which is very self explanatory, seeing how Scientology has a horrible WOT score.
7
cult owned --------- scam

Warning: ORGANIZED CRIME! Scientology Inc. is anti-Christian and anti-Christianity; they are also a hate group that attacks homosexuals and the medical profession. The sinister Scientology crime syndicate has been linked to deaths and injuries and should be avoided at all cost. Their narCONon scam's so-called "success rate" has been demonstrated to be worse than no drug interdiction at all. If you are in need of drug interdiction, please consider Narcotic Anonymous or some other valid, non-criminal organization.
