The information on the site is unreliable. I rented an apartment, paid a deposit and it turned out to be occupied. The deposit was not returned, the site is not responding.

The site does not regulate the rental listings. We were looking for a listing on the beach. The place that came up on the search said it was on the beach. After paying a nonrefundable fee to the apartment complex, we found out that the listing was miles from the beach.
Contacted *****, costumer rep said that they had nothing to do with the listings and that if the listing was incorrect we were to contact the apartment complex that listed the rental. The apartment complex was the one that was a fraud. I asked if there was any way to leave feedback or comments. Rent.com said no.

Have not done direct business with the company however I have visited their site a number of times. They market and send emails but seem legitimate.
