-Malicious content, viruses: Rogue security/registry cleaner. -Phishing or other scams: Sammsoft tells users that this program is affordable (with a price of $29.95), but they take out $89.99-$96.95 out of your bank account. Steer clear.

I cannot see what all the fuss is about but you do need to yake care to understand what you are downloading

The free virus program equals the pay services. You have to be careful to avoid add ons.

Advertises, via SPAM, totally worthless software, never heard of by anyone. Can you say malicious software?

Almost got slimed! I downloaded their garbage accidentally while at an upgrade site for legitimate software. Their ad was very deceptive, as it was on CNet's download page for the legitimate software, and it led me to believe that the HUGE red button that said "download now" was for the update to the paid software I already own. I ignored the WOT warning (stupidly) after hitting the download button because I figured it was one of those warnings that pertain to a download site that is run by a third party that may offer updates for other companies that aren't so "legitimate." I hope that made sense, because otherwise I take WOT warnings seriously. Well, upon closer inspection of the site I realized that this was one of those fake virus scanners and deleted the file without installing it. That kind of trickery is one of my pet peeves, and I think sites such as CNet should be more accountable for the ads they let run on their sites. Google needs to get a pinch on it, too, because half the Google based ads are for scumbags and their scumware, too.

It is a save site since it is a source for correcting faulty programmes or errors in pc.

Waste of $30. This is not a virus, but it is a FAKE. Free software (Glary Utilities), reviewed by PC Magazine (is legit) and does the same thing; and if you want to pay, offers you a paid version. I'm a computer expert and I can't believe I was duped by Sammsoft. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. I got their ad from my download of WinAmp media player. Well, $30 lost, don't do the same.

This web site has back door trojans that sneak into your computer. It lures you in with being able to download the "free" registry cleaner. Do not be fooled. Avoid this website!

It invaded my computer from a trojan that was contracted by a bomb of trojans in my school's computer system . . . which then went into my flash drive. -.- Tisk, tisk, tisk! :o
