Is secondlife.com Safe?

It's addiction central. Spend your precious time on this earth with other addicts, buying expensive heads for their avatars and clothes and saying things like 'This is better than real life'. Teleport to any second life community and expect to be ignored, harshly. Maybe if you hang around a new place for a month the regulars might notice you one day and say hi. Would give 0 stars if it were possible.

In order to use Second Life you MUST be an adult. However we all know that those who are underage sign up for Facebook and other stuff - Second Life is no exception. Second Life is far more than what some media suggest. Yes there is a sexual part to it but the majority has nothing to do with that. There are creative arts, sailing clubs, fantastic builds and communities from all over the world.

Second Life used to be an exciting platform for creation and expression, but it is utterly undermined by the sheer toxicity and hostility of its anonymous staff members. NOTHING that you pay for or create is yours, and can be taken away from you at any time by vengeful staff who lack even a basic sense of morality. If you do pay for anything, you will be overcharged in the extreme; $195/month for a region is absurd, when the hardware you are buying is worse than what you could get for a $6/month cloud computing instance running OpenSimulator, the free, fully under your own control alternative. I used to like Second Life, but even in the "good old days" the handful of staff who genuinely wanted to improve things and help people were undermined by management who overturned decisions, delayed everything and ensured nothing ever really got fixed. Nowadays the only staff remaining are incompetent and vicious, and the customer "support" staff are seemingly paid to close support cases without comment, or fabricate any reason they can to terminate your account.

I am a second life resident since 2008 and i definitely recommend this game. It offers the possibility to unleash your creativity and design different kind of stuffs( clothes, furniture, homes) or interact with other people. The possibilities are unlimited. The website is very easy to use and guides you to each step you have to do in order to have access to the game. Disadvantages: it might be hard to earn in game money and because of that you might have to donate if you are not creative enough . There are some nudity lands which can be accessed but the Linden Lab is trying to diminish the access to that land only to accounts which are age verified ( even so there are still ways to bypass the system) , the game itself can be very complicated in the beginning until you get used to the interface. Overall i had a great experience on this platform and i definitely recommend to everyone who has enough free time to spend online.

Whoever thinks it's "Child Friendly" shouldn't be on the internet. Second life isn't second life anymore since they have turned towards future plans and abandoned it. This isn't really the place you want to be either if you want to be "doxed", "swatted", or harassed by grown men on the internet. If you do however then whatever floats your boat.
