* IP Addresses ***** and ***** constantly blacklisted * Uses E-Dialog marketing services to continually send spam mail to harvested/purchased e-mail lists without consent. * Does not honor opt-outs in a timely manner or at all * Does not handle SMTP rejections or bounces properly (i.e. does not remove invalid e-mail addresses from their mailing lists) How they have a good overall/rating score on WOT with all of these negative reviews is baffling to me. I'm losing confidence in WOT's rating system or their ability to prevent illegitimate manipulation of scores

Got registered a few days ago with fake profile details: First name: me Last name: sure Company Name: damn Job title: spam accountant and other random inputs. Not possible to opt-out.

Have been spammed by them since '15, multiple times per day. I never signed up for their spam. I checked out their site, which looks legit on the surface, but is really rehashed content from other sites and is readily available online elsewhere in its original form. I know better than to opt out, which will only confirm to them that I'm "listening," so I've set up a filter to throw their garbage away.

Multiple spams daily from SearchDataBackup and others associated with this site. Never signed up for this site.

They are scamming you to get your email. They do not honor opt-outs and pummel you with 6 or more useless emails per day.

I'm getting numerous SPAM email every day from TechTarget. I never signed up for it. They suck.
7
Professional IT trade web site covering a range of topics.

I got on the Tech Target email hit list when I downloaded a white paper from them. Almost impossible to get off it--and the sheer volume of emails from them is crazy. This is nothing but a spamming site.

An excellent company for IT based articles.

I don't even know how I got on their list, but they're filling my inbox with spam, sometimes even sending the same message multiple times.

I've used WOT as an extension for a long time, but I registered a WOT account just to gripe about this domain. It should *not* be trusted. The info appears to be scraped and minimally edited. It also doesn't provide the resources claimed and will make itself hell to unsubscribe (as pointed out by a couple other people here). Positive reviews of this domain are likely astro turf.

Spamming Google search results. Information in articles may be mined from other sources. Information is frequently wrong. Cookies left by techtarget are commonly identified by Antivirus/Malware/Spyware software as tracking cookies. Site offers whitepapers and other info by registering resulting in abusive email spamming. May spam email lists with hundreds to thousands of emails yearly. Does not monitor downstream value of email lists.

The whole techtarget network of sites is a scam. They lure you in with what seem like legit articles about IT or other subjects. They then ask you for your email address to view the rest of the useless article. Once they have your email the spam never stops coming.
10
SPAM - annoying scraping of sites for email and cold call email.

Techtarget has been sending me spam from: ***** Search (anything) .com I've unsubscribed a few dozen times, yet I still get the e-mails. I've called them, sent e-mails to their helpdesk, and made sure that I don't have any services with them. Once you give them your e-mail, they own you. They'll never give it up (They legally don't have to). Don't give them your e-mail address or anything else (telephone, address). Their magazines are nothing but advertisements (even the articles are obviously paid for by the manufacturers of the product they're talking about).

An excellent company, publicly traded, that provides a variety of IT-related services.
