Is theconversation.com Safe?

This is an excellent site for public discourse and is quite safe. To quote: The Conversation US arose out of deep-seated concerns for the fading quality of our public discourse – and recognition of the vital role that academic experts can play in the public arena. See: *****

I read ONE article: "Las Malvinas or Falkland Islands: British or Argentinean?" and it's entirely one-sided. This is a conflict that has two sides and the entire article is pro-Argentina, with a theme of victimization and self-righteousness, not to mention condescension toward any other viewpoint. It reads like government propaganda. Even the first picture under the title shows the graves of Argentinean servicepeople killed by the U.K. - without mentioning the British service people killed or by Argentinean forces OR that Argentina started the conflict (although that is mentioned later in the article). In addition, the article mentions that "London has plainly ignored the diplomatic efforts made by Buenos Aires and has stated that it will not negotiate over the sovereignty unless the inhabitants of the islands wish to do so." However, it does not explore this further. Perhaps that's because over 99% of Falklanders have expressed support for the continued state of British governance. I'm not for one side or the other. I'm just disgusted by a website that presents itself as a factual news source and then blatantly reports only one side of the story.

This is a site run by Academia, with the informed and evidence back opinions of the the peoples behind the research and the facts. Newspapers sell newspapers. This site tells the actual factual news. With the backing of most of the major Universities and Science Based institutions, you will find op eds, current events, science and politics in facts based, evidence driven stories. Here are the facts they Do want you to know! Get educated on the stories, and not on the chaff.
