Is thesaurus.com Safe?

Does not use HTTPS in order to protect anything that you type in the website. That means that if you type in your email login and your password, hackers could easily know what your login and password is! But I actually suspect that this is done deliberately to gain as much information on you as possible. Not only your login/pass but install possible adware, tracking, malware, etc. ***** can EASILY convert the sites to HTTPS so why don't they? I did some digging and the company that owns ***** is owned by Lexico which was bought by ***** which is owned by the IAC group. ***** is owned by Lexico also. If you look at IAC.com, it doesn't have a good website rating as it owns a lot of bad websites. And by using ***** to purchase Lexico, it looks like it's trying to distance itself from Thesaurus.com, dictionary.com, ***** from their reputation. We see a possible reason: "***** in 2010 topped the list compiled by The Wall Street Journal ranking websites by how many third-party tracking cookies were added to the user's computer. Reference.com added 234 tracking cookies when encountering a first-time user."[14] IAC is now IACI and it went on a huge buying spree the last couple of years buying a wide range of sites that span all human activity. It's like it's trying to corner the market on all info that you do. Every use Match.com? Tinder? Ask.com, Thesaurus.com, HomeAdvisor/Angie's List, or Expedia? LendingTree? All owned by IACI.
