I have looked extensively at The Venus Project and of an opinion that they have the best intentions for humanity and the world. This is a site that everyone should take some time to read, all of it like one does a book, and be enlightened on the proposal of a resources based economy.

Several sources depict this project as scam. Apparently, all they did was selling books, lectures and films about their ideology, as well as accepting donations in the name of brighter future.
See the Google suggestions on "venus project". First suggestion is "venus project scam". Then you could read the results on the latter.

This site is an advertisement campaign for a mans dream. It has no foundation in reality and is asking for peoples money, yet has a profit and a non profit org, both are unclear. IRS please ?
