Bad customer experience

Overall the business I've done with Thompson Cigars has been good, and I have a long history with buying from them. That said, they have some deceptive practices that made me pretty angry. They called my cell shortly after I placed an order... to sell me a service: When enrolling in a "discount program," I was automatically in an auto-ship system, despite repeated assurances that that wouldn't happen. (I don't smoke nearly enough cigars to warrant an automatic shipment!) And when the bill arrived for the cigars I hadn't ordered, they had charged me $15 more than the advertised price for the "discount program" I'd thought I'd joined. Outside that experience with the discount program, they've been a good company. "
