AFAIK the content here is generally on the level. Having said that I didn't have time to check it all in detail. Users should do their own homework. Apparently the real issue is the hateful attitudes- which there was clear evidence of. If they clean that up perhaps the ratings one day could rise.

Promotes trolling against those who don't agree with their opinions. They even allow threats of violence against those they don't agree with. Their mods also censor dissenting opinions. ***** To WOT admins: Please investigate possible ratings manipulation. Please note that the "Potentially illegal" tag is appropriate, by reading its description "Based on your experience or opinion the site promotes or is involved in activities that are perceived as potentially illegal, such as pirated content or giving advice on how to commit burglary." This site exists for the purpose of promoting illegal downloads, and WOT has a tag to flag such websites. I have checked the "Hate, Discrimination" tag as TorrentFreak allows hateful comments against those who post dissenting opinions, even when such hateful comments are against their own comment policy. Their behavior has forced me to get a new Disqus account, although their resident trolls followed me anyway. The trolling has spilled over to MyWOT with the negative rating given to this post.

A news site about internet freedom. Covering torrents, web blocking, piracy, lawsuits, copyright law, and technical news. Has mild ads - I block ads, but support via Flattr.

A site that has news about torrents/things related to piracy. Very informative.

torrents are unethical and should be banned. Cyber theft is a serious crime and no one should get involved with it!
4
Currently the only extensive news site on torrents and filesharing, features only exclusive articles and a lot of insider reports.
