Founded in 1991, Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation is the non-profit funding partner of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. Overseen by Trustees and administered by four full-time and two part-time staff members, the Foundation's mission is to provide private support to Texas Parks and Wildlife Department to manage and conserve the natural and cultural resources of Texas and to provide hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation opportunities for the use and enjoyment of current and future generations. The Foundation unites communities, individuals and corporations with Texas Parks and Wildlife Department through diverse priority projects designed to preserve and protect Texas' wildlife, land, water and cultural resources. Additionally the Foundation plays a vital role in conservation education, with scholarship opportunities, internships and children's outdoor activities. Since its inception, the Foundation has raised over $80 million for Texas Parks and Wildlife Department.
