It is Adobe's font service. I have been a longtime critic of Adobe and the websites for this is IMO terrible. It is unrevealing and it took way too many clicks to find anything useful.

typekit.net is a good site. It is also safe for children.
typekit.net directs to *****--the Adobe typekit service. Adobe Typekit allows subscribers to embed fonts into online documents; it is widely used. Both typekit.net and typekit.com come up clean when scanned by VirusTotal.
Being a site providing fonts available to website designers/developers, it is safe for children.

one of the websites I visit regularly has started using TYPEKIT.NET. since I trust the web site that uses TYPEKIT I gotta mostly trust TYPEKIT.

This site is owned by Adobe, Inc and is apparently engaged in making fonts available to subscribing websites for a subscription fee. I am going to trust it because I'm afraid that subscribing websites won't render properly without it, and because I DO trust Adobe.
