Well, we know it all .. it is a pay to bid auction website, so you have to pay for your bids. So you know the risk. Apparently only one person can only win, the others loose. But here you can use a buy now function as far as I know. So you use the value of the bids place as and discount towards your buy now price. Well at least you can cut your cost, and you still receive the item. Yes you will need a bit of money before you can make good deals. But it is all about the right strategy placing a few bids at the right time.

As far as I know, MadBid has been the market leader. Compared to other sites, I think MadBid offers a good service, also in terms of usability. I think it is fun, as you can really grab bargains at low prices. But certainly you need to be a better bidder than your competitors. But supposedly this is the challenge, haha You better not bid against me, lol

Just adding my two cents here since Madbid links are now blocked on Facebook. Contrary to some people's belief, it is not a scam. People come on the site believing they can get something for nothing, and they spend a bit of money carelessly and they get upset when they don't win. It is a auction site involving skill, timing and a bit of luck. People need to spend wisely on the site and most importantly, start off bidding on small items, if you register and expect to win a iPhone on your first day then you're going to be heavily disappointed. Small items have less competition and therefore betting chance of winning so start on them and before you know it, you'll be having great fun on the site.

You are charged between £0.099 and £0.33 to raise the bid by £0.01 so usually madbid will be taking a great deal more than the RRP for each item. It is easy for someone to spend a lot of money on this site without making a single successful bid
