I trust this website These reasons explain my rating:

Mindspark Interactive Network, Inc. An IAC Company. These websites all host the download for a toolbar that is spyware/adware. *****

Advertisements on trustworthy sites (eg, Digg) led me here. This site doesn't seem to provide any of the software they advertise, it simply installs a toolbar, which I uninstalled immediately so I don't know what it does, but others have found out - see other comments.

I ticked the USELESS box because it is the LEAST inappropriate comment and you have to pick one. It really isn't appropriate either... Just looking for info on UtilityChest Calculator. As usual I had questions... Ended up it is a TOOLBAR. Anyone new to the computer game may not realize that toolbars WILL selectively channel sites the maker and sponsors of the toolbar want you to visit and spend money at their sites. This is referred to as HIJACKING. All browsers act this way to a certain extent, EVEN GOOGLE (WHICH JUST RECENTLY (MAY '12) HAD 87% US MARKET SHARE!!) , DOES THIS! Your first hits at google (in shaded boxes) are paid advertisers. At least google gives an indication.... In some instances these odd toolbars will only show websites the toolbar has economic interests in. Some will also block any sites that will offer help in removing ROGUE TOOLBARS. STOPZILLA free trial offer has been accused of doing this exact behavior, though it IS NOT a toolbar, its a free trial antimalware program, that has generated a LOT of controversies with its free program trial called by many, including me, (because of hijacked browser behavior) rogue ware and malware. I am not aware if utilitychest toolbar acts this way or not. I just wanted to explain what CAN happen to those who are new to surfing. Of course there are MANY shining exceptions, but for about 80% (to pull numbers from a very dark and smelly place) of the examples, the "FREE" software comes at a cost. Shining examples of great genuine free software-Avast!, MalwareBytesAntiMalware, SuperAntiSpyware, Spybot, WinPatrol, HiJackThis-These keep your computer safe Glary Utilities, CCleaner, SecuniaPSI and Belarc Advisor-These keep your computer running in top condition and/or tell you when things need updating. I also couldn't resist the urge to rag on the scum at stopzilla who have used spamming websites to counter negative reviews at such sites as complaintsboard.com, CNET/downloads.com, Web of Trust and Wikipedia. They also have used intimidation and threats to those who speak the truth
