If you have the We-Care Reminder and don't remember downloading it, there's a good chance it was offered to you while you were installing something else (adobe flash, skype, etc). It's a harmless little browser app, and if you keep it, you raise money for charity every time you shop online.

First step is to go to Add/Remove Programs and uninstall the application named "SaveTheChildren Reminder by we-care.com" or variants of that. Chances are good there will be other malware on the system so open up your favorite suite of anti-virus, RK scanners and anti-malware tools and get cracking.

This webpage is bookmarked as a bundle with several different downloads. Not sure if their cause/company is legit, but any institution that installs malware on your computer to do their business is in my shit-box.
