Caution and some skepticism is always advised when evaluating treatments outside the mainstream, but to close your eyes and ignore the options has its own set of risks. I believe an informed person investigates promising therapies on sites such as this and balances the risks and benefits within their own situation. Many of the treatments promoted here are non-invasive and very low risk, so they offer an alternative to try before using therapies that may cause more side effects/complications and be in the mainstream. I'd venture to say many more people suffer negative consequences from conventional medicine than do those trying the therapies promoted here.

I don't see this web site promoting Scientology. Dr Julian Whitaker independently disagrees with psychiatry. The "Church" of Scientology's Citizens Commission on Human Rights also disagrees and often quotes Dr Whitaker. Because they have this in common, Dr Whitaker verbally supports the CCHR yet distances himself from Scientology.. In a CNN transcript: ***** when Dr Whitaker is introduced as being "with" CCHR, he says, "First, let me separate myself from Scientology. I do support the CCHR. I think they do a good job. But let's talk about psychiatry, and my view of psychiatry as a medical doctor." I found several suggestive statements that he is "with" them, but none explicitly stating he is a member of CCHR, or a Scientologist. All this aside, what he says about established and alternative medicine makes sense on its own merits, if you take the time to actually read it - in spite of what everyone else has to say about Dr Whitaker.

This site is a useful and informative site about Dr Whitaker, who is a legitimate alternative health practitioner. I don't know who wants to defame him by linking him to Scientology, but this absolute nonsense. WOT is NOT to used to libel anyone or to defame them or harm their reputation. If you disagree with what he does or says, find a legitimate way to voice your opinion, please.

This has been a reliable source of leading edge, well researched information for over 20 years. Whoever is claiming this is Scientology is ill informed.
