Is wonkette.com Safe?

Although I agree with much of the POV the over the top presentation often times hurts the credibility. The other issue that earned so much of the downgrade are the number of things attempting to run in the background that had to be blocked and their severity.

Not really a 'news' site, its more of a commentary site. Nonetheless, they have a sense of humor, and don't just drive themselves into a fever of righteous indignation like far-left (or, indeed, far-right) commentary sites tend to do. Don't go here if you can't take a joke, and don't use it as a 'news' site. I got a popup telling me to vote against the GOP, but I was able to click it off pretty easily. I don't really consider this a hate site, simply because I know right-wing sites dish out stuff just like this. I figure the reciprocity cancels things out. Not really appropriate for children. I couldn't find any explicit images (though I didn't look very thoroughly) but there is a great deal of profanity.

Liberal news gossip. Foul-mouthed, sarcastic, and immature, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Ad-heavy, but this mommy-blog/hate machine won't pay for itself. Besides, that's what ad-blockers like NoScript is for. Awesome if you're liberal, not-so-much if you're not. Not intended for children or even some adults.
