Is www.buy.com Safe?

Quality issues are hard to resolve with an online vendor. The part that I ordered was not as advertised. It was not a replacement. It just sort of worked. But the root problem is that ***** falsely advertised the product as a replacement. Their system failed to catch a difference in battery specs that caused me to by an inferior product with a shorter battery life. By U.S. law, that is clearly a violation reportable to the FTC.

Have had only good experiences with *****. But you need to apply Due Diligence since ***** subcontracts the transaction among many other vendors. Also, a search on ***** can result in some Sponsored Ads (not part of Buy.com) and that can be confusing. Overall, the Buy.com experience provides what you are looking for, from a trustworthy provider.

The sent me an ad in an e-mail offering me the Pure Indulgence™ 2 Qt. Frozen Yogurt-Sorbet & Ice Cream Maker for $59.95 with free shipping. No where does it say limited supply. $ hours later I tried to buy it and the price was $89.78 including shipping. Also, the idea has a list price from Cuisinart of $79.95 yet ***** list the List Price as $149.95, clearly a scam.
