Contains audio advert virus. This malware takes control over your audio system causing potential system or hearing damage. All responsible web sites have begun to stop this behavior- not zdnet!

This site is a good site for very helpful articles, and it is safe for children, however, Adblock Plus blocked 29 ads and trackers on this site. Seems a little overkill on ads and trackers. I mean, if ABP blocks one or two, no big deal. Once it gets into the double or even triple digits of things being blocked, that's when it gets suspicious.

For a reported above board site, they seem to rely on cross scripts, pop-up ads and other garbage. Tell you what, there are plenty of other tech sites out there that do not follow that process.

Seems to be an ok sight for computer news and information. However, there are some occasional ads and pop-ups that try to convince users to subscribe to newsletters. Note that I have not subscribed to the newsletters, so I cannot evaluate the effectiveness or security of Znet.com's email servers or mailing list policies.

LOTS of scripts. And, it doesn't seem to run will without them.

I am giving them a very mixed rating for the following reasons:

I like much of their content.
Negative:
They have excessive scripts and XSS in the background to block.
You also have to block the Yahoo script or else you will get some incredibly sleazy "sponsored content" ads appearing in the background for things like people search scams.
