Is broadwayphoto.com Safe?

Bait & Switch SCAMMERS!! STAY AWAY!! Don't be fooled by their low prices. You will not get what you think you ordered (i.e., SONY), but an off-brand model. They will call you after you place your order and try to sell add-ons. You will find out the camera model is not the one you ordered. Then they will tell you it is the same thing, just a different brand. They will tell you that the manufacturer's battery only lasts a few hours instead of 66 hrs and that you need to buy an additional battery and other crap. They will become belligerent. CANCEL YOUR ORDER AND ALERT YOUR CREDIT CARD BANK OF THE FRAUD! How the state of NY/NJ allows them to continue with this illegal import scam is beyond me. Give your money to a real company.

They write you an email that you have to call them. THen they verify your personal data (incl. credit card number) and ask you if you want to buy some additional items. I said no and then i was told that it is a chinese model and the us-english would cost 100$ extra. I canceled then my order. The next days I got tons of phone calls from other companies that tried to sell me stuff (or said they would be fom Bank of America and I should tell them my account information ! ! !)

It's been said many times by many people, but Broadway Photo are a bunch of crooks. They bait and switch as a standard business practice. They are the same people that run Camera Addict, and use the same tactics to screw you. I ordered items from both of them that they said were in stock. As soon as I ordered and checked the status I found the item backordered. I canceled both orders and then found the truth about them. See You Tube *****

This site is a scam. Don't get review off everyprice.com, go to epinions. over 1000 people have been scammed by this new york based operation. Check out their BBB rating. Order products, products are automatically marked as backordered. strange since the site has them as in stock. the customer service is very rude and will get mad at you if you decide not to buy anything from them. AVOID THIS SITE AT ALL COST!!!!!
