The counter just passed 60 million downloads!!!!
A year ago about this same time we reached 30 million downloads, so in twelve months WOT has doubled its downloads.
Users come from everywhere. Some time ago we made a poll and asked you to guess where you think WOT would NOT have any users. Most of you guessed North Korea, but that was incorrect. WOT does have users in North Korea, in East Timor, in Nauru, as well as in the Vatican. One of the very few places without any WOT users is Tuvalu, a small Polynesian island nation located in the Pacific Ocean. So, if any of you know anyone in Tuvalu, please ask them to download WOT. We want Tuvaluan people in the community too!
Earlier this month WOT also reached another important milestone: 40 million rated sites. That means a lot of work for the community. 40 million rated sites is a great achievement and please keep up the work: rate sites that don’t have a rating yet, and also sites that do have a rating to increase the confidence of their reputation. Your ratings helps other people from landing on an untrustworthy sites and get the best out of the World Wide Web.

Excellent news indeed, and the best aspect of WOT is the way in which it has developed into a properly global Internet mutual assistance tool helping to keep everyone safe on the Internet.
Just a note of caution, though. The impressiveness of the figure really depends on how the downloads are being counted. For instance, if a business dowloads the WOT addon for all machines in the office, does that count as one download for the business, or however many downloads for the machines? Additionally, many people have a number of different browsers on their computer, and so one user could have made several downloads of the WOT addon (one for each browser). So the figure of 60 million downloads might only be, say, 25 million users. WOT could definitely do with more users, especially in Tuvalu.

Nice job with the poll ....................... too good , there are still people posting with guesses , though the result was announced days ago
Now lets go for 75 million downloads !

WOT is a powerful add-on for Internet protection, you should consider advertising WOT much heavier than in past years and shoot for 120 million in 2013.

I think I remember reading a stop-using-WOT blog from (although not in) September 2010, and I found that WOT users doubled around that time. I think it was from 10m to 20m or 15m to 30m, or something like that.
Can anybody give me the link?
My fight to get unblocked from the WOT Wiki goes on.
