Ist ar15.com sicher?

They are not honest and will sell your email address, along with your phone number IF you leave it with them, and any other info will be sold. This is the only gun site I signed up with and immediately the nightmare began, my email had dozens of spam about AR15s, my texts were the same way. I even had a few people calling trying to sell me ammunition and other things. I contacted the site's staff and they did not contact me for nearly a week later. This is despite me paying for their membership, which was another action I regret doing. When they finally contacted me, it was really short, and full of lies saying they would never do that. I promptly dis-continued payment to them and did a stop on the text messages, and slowly began to send the spam to the spam folder, and AR15's blight went away over time. What liars they are to deny they sold my personal information. Even a spyware removal program that I used after stopping my subscription with them, detected more than 100 spyware related to this company. All other companies listed on that panel on the right are honest and reliable, unlike AR15.com, please be careful even browsing there.

Site contains foul language and racist views (within certain General  Discussion threads).  Definitely not suitable for children (General Discussion). An example from https://www.ar15.com/archive/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=1837290 Sample A: "Is that the sound he makes when his boyfriend stretches his ___hole too hard?" Sample B: "bring it f_gg_t, thats a good way to get yourself a good f___ing beating..." As far as trustworthiness goes, there were only three tracking sites blocked by Disconnect (which isn't bad at all) Virustotal.com, safeweb.norton.com, and ***** gave the site a clean bill of health.  AdBlock Plus blocked 43 ads which if well above average based on my experience on other sties.

***** is a great, informative site. Topics range from guns, ammo, and knives, to gardening, food storage, and survival, to politics, religion, and computer security. There is such a large membership you are almost guaranteed to find an expert in any field willing to answer your questions. The site is child-friendly with a strict Code of Conduct. However, the General Discussion forum is slightly more relaxed allowing for some *graphic* and *Not Safe For Work* posts, although no nudity is allowed. Every other forum(referred to as the 'tech' forums) is child-friendly.

Equipment Exchange (sale/trade area) is free of spam and ripoff artist types. Issues resolved quickly. Very Friendly forum, though most teenagers would be OK with language and content. Stay away from General Discussion to learn a LOT about firearms of every type from every era, from hunting gear reviews to fishing, recipies for bacon, even movie reviews, the forum has it all!

Too many ads and banners. Got too commercial. Hard to navigate. Get rid of the clutter!
