Ist ask.com sicher?

"ASK" is shit. Troyan, malware, spyware, xploit, phishing, fraud. Not exactly the site, but the ASK.COM toolbar is ***** is installed without the user knowing it (usually a check box that no one sees in many installers). It is VERY difficult to remove.

This website is owned and operated by InterActiveCorp. It provides a search engine which many people use. They also provide a toolbar (Ask toolbar) which many people and security companies call "spyware" and "ad-ware" because of its tracking habits. Some security companies such as Norton (owned by Symantec Corporation) and ZoneAlarm (owned by Checkpoint Software Technologies LTD.) also include it in their anti-virus programs as an "opt-out" program (they let you choose whether you to install it or not). In recent years, IAC "supposedly" have cleaned up their act and their products are not being flagged as malicious. Safe website, though NOT recommended.

***** made itself my homepage without my consent. After downloading Oovoo, upon the next time I logged onto Firefox I was presented with a page telling me to click a box if I wanted to make ***** my homepage. I did not click the box, and the next tab I opened had Ask.com.

***** is a OK site to get Question , but never download anything from this site it full with adware or Spyware!! I ask for a site to get a network controller for my Compaq laptop and there was a link to a site that call it self Conpaq network controller free downloads. When I found the network controller that I need and press the download button it just start to download without me telling it, Ok or if I agree with it just started to download I stop it as fast as I could and did a virus scan never download from ***** links

Inútil, metiche, espía, barra-lapa perniciosa e infecciosa. El buscador de Yahoo no sirve y lo pone como perdeterminado. Si sirve en España y lo aman los españoles, ¡felicidades! pero fuera de la península ni se entera dónde está. Ask está out.... ¡Fuera! ¡Askeroso! Symantec es el software más molesto que incluyen en las PC nuevas. Ask se respalda en un certificado de la misma camada que lo engendró.
