Bing is a great alternative to Google, with less filtered search results. As well as that, it has a rewards program to get a few small gifts as a token of appreciation for using the website. Honestly, that was the main reason I switched in the first place.

This is a good search site. I went to it after I dumped Google because their stack of paid sites at the top was very long. Also, their tracking and other things like GoogleUpdate(r) is irritating. Bing, on the other hand, has a very nice screen. You do have to sign in and set your preferences to avoid some nonsense. And, you need the Facebook connect tracker and Bing tracker for some features. Signing in lets you customize the experience, for instance you can eliminate the picture if your bandwidth is limited. The picture itself is educational. It i usually stunning and includes some links if you move the mouse around the screen. The links are educational information about the picture. At the booom of the screen there are picture links to searches about various current stories. The privacy risks are limited to the online tracking. Sometimes I see it and other times I don't. As always, you should use WOT to review the provided links. WOT isn't always right and I have Norton 360 to handles the virus and spyware risks the links provide. I said be cautious for children because as with all sites you never know what you can find. I believe you can set up their account and set it up to limit links unsuitable to children if they are aware.
