Ist ca.com sicher?

I purchased several copies of CA Internet Security Suite for several different computers including Win 2000, XP, and 7. The product is a piece of crap. CA doesn't support the product and didn't during it's lifetime. It would lose the computer in infinite loops during updates and the updates didn't work as advertised. What is even worse, the product is almost impossible to install. The windows uninstaller won't uninstall it and the aftermarket products don't work either. CCleaner, one of the best products on the market won't remove it. CA Suite hides a file that reinstalls the product after you uninstall it and it is impossible to stop or defeat. I had to use PMagic 8 (a Linux program) to go into the drive itself and brutally delete folders and files which is something I don't recommend for the average (or even advanced users without Linux experience) as you can destroy your win installation in a heartbeat. In addition, CA automatically put my subscription on automatic renew and it took a number of calls and letters to stop it. This company cannot be trusted with consumer products and I strongly advise avoiding doing business with them.

Member of the Microsoft Active Protections Program (MAPP). Safe website and products, though other security vendors may provide superior software.

Ca software has too many False positives which puts doubts in your mind if the rest of the software is capable of keeping your PC secured. You gotta be computer Geek to work out the program, not user freindly. In my opinion the software is at the bottom of the scale of all Internet security Suits. Ca support website is to complex and poor for the uninitiated and the forum is resourceful at times when manned by volunteer Moderators, Would be nice if the forum is manned more often by the CA Moderators like other forums.
