CheetahMail is a bulk mailer serving Internet Marketing clients, which typically means that the quality, frequency, and respect for your privacy (whether or not you opted-in to receive email) mainly depend on the legitimacy of the IM client. However, CheetahMail is owned by Experian who, as a typical credit-reporting agency, entitles itself to collect as much of your sensitive personal information as possible without first offering you any opportunity to permit or deny such collection. I am not thrilled by the proximity of sensitive personal information and often dubious IM clients. When loaded without a complex URL, this site merely redirects to ***** marketing services; otherwise, its subdomains redirect without warning to various operations, including unsubscribe requests, at IM client sites which may or may not be safe.

Many comments about this site do not actually reflect accurately about this site but rather its customers using its services. As a community we need to accurately report our findings. They have a great, no hassle unsubscribe function and have taken actions to protect identity and privacy. For the record, I do not use their service, do not work for them nor have any benefit from a positive comment. I am a customer of their customers and have had good experiences with this site.

Got unsolicited spam emails from "Staples" (staples.com) several times sent to my own domain (to real and to fake addresses). When trying to unsubscribe from those emails it took me to cheetahmail.com which seems to be a mass mailer sending emails without checking the validity of the sendees' requests. Or, if staples should have done that in the first place, it's their fault. Either way, I didn't want it.
