They have gone too far with this anti cheat nonsense!!!!!!! Sounds like the person or persons responsible for this are just butthurt for losing to someone online no matter the game! They now post your IP address as well as Social Security numbers so Identity theft........I don't even know how they are allowed to continue business with this crap software that can enable hackers (the very thing they are trying to stop) to get anyones personal info if you ask me they are the PUNKS!!!!!!!!!

This trojan is usually downloaded silently by Ubisoft without showing the license. The license itself is a reason not to trust them. I don't want spyware running 24/7 and messing up my computer just to play a single player game. You can block it from accessing internet in the Windows firewall since they are whitelisted in most antivirus applications by having a contract with the US army.

AVOID! PunkBuster, once installed, runs as a system service with administrative rights (Start > Administrative Tools > Services) even when no game it's supposed to "protect" is running. It can, and does, send screenshots of your desktop to its servers. Their privacy policy states that they can permanently retain inspection activities - which it defines as "the displayed screen, processes and files associated with each computer system on which it is running", and furthermore these "are not considered private data by PunkBuster"! As if the AC system wasn't bad enough, it's recently stepped up its annoyance factor by kicking players for using legitimate in-game overlays. One important example is the Steam overlay, which is part of the Steam Community package, and is instrumental for some gamers as it allows web access and chat services without needing to alt-tab out of the game. As such, I personally regard Punkbuster as malware, and recommend others do the same.
