Ist ezvid.com sicher?

The website has links to download everything BUT ezyvid. It's like one of those spam sites from the 90's. Good luck trying to work out which button is the 'real' download button. It's a deceptive site that (tries to) trick users into downloading "PC app store" and "ZipRar". Avoid it - use a product that doesn't come from people trying to trick you into downloading other software.

Normally I would recommend that you use OBS-MP or FFSplit instead of Ezvid.The fact Ezvid includes a simple editor and its own music to choose from, makes it ideal for anyone who is technologically illiterate and just wants to make speedpaint videos, or someone who quickly wants to make a tutorial but doesn't want to always have Notepad on the screen in order to add some text instead of using a video editor (you know you've seen the type of video I'm talking about).That said, Ezvid is not ideal for gaming videos because it is not only such a basic editor, but most annoyingly, doesn't allow you to turn off the music it includes. EDIT: It turns out they changed this and allow you to use your own MP3, but I havn't tested this myself. It's also rather suspicious that they have a blog in which they make top ten lists of the best video editors, but always make Ezvid the #1 spot. Conflict of interest much?I tried Ezvid and it did not give me a virus, but if you want to do anything more complex, take a look at OBS-MP instead. Also beware of offers in the installer.

Ezvid lies about their own product and other products. First of all, they said that Ezvid is also a screen capture tool similar to Snagit, but Ezvid doesn't have any screen capture capabilities AT ALL. It can only do screen recording, video editing, and slideshow making. ***** provides a "free" screencasting/video editor along with a group of product reviews, many of which are biased towards the Ezvid software. The program itself is ad-free however the installer, like that of many other "free" programs uses Open Candy. Open Candy has a few privacy concerns, and was (at one point) listed as adware by Microsoft. Ezvid comes bundled with an unwanted (in most cases) browser hijacker - Nation Search. The software itself works well enough, however there are better alternatives available. The site's front page lists Ezvid as "The Best Free Video Maker For Youtube" which, sadly, is not the case.
