On top of massive data collection that Facebook is notorious for, there is currently a LIVE pornography epidemic happening. Genitalia and sexual intercourse are on public display probably through people abusing Facebook's website tools and features. Facebook is also DEFINITELY qualifies as having "Gruesome or Shocking" content as I have seen people post pictures of animal cruelty including beheadings and bloody massacring. It's clearly meant to stir our emotions and get us all riled up. Facebook does not seem interested in cracking down on the situation as this has been a consistent problem for at least a few months. Phishing links, spam, and trade card scamming on certain Facebook games are rampant within community groups (most notably Farmville 2 and Slotomania), and my feed, while browsing it, is highly toxic from heavy amounts of political rabble-rousing and outright encouragement of hate and vitriol against certain prominent people. Then there is the problem with the psychological manipulation I see everywhere which stems from people begging or guilt-tripping folks to "Share my post" saying things such as "I bet this won't even get one share" or putting a ridiculous religious message as a call-to-action. People are basically being manipulated into sharing other people's posts. This is happening regularly enough for it to crowd out posts from friends and family that actually matter. Facebook is a mess, and the CEO does not seem the least concerned about putting some BASIC controls in place to stop most of this crap from happening. This website is unsafe for the emotionally/mentally vulnerable as well as the impressionable, and I've seen some shocking things during my time here. Do not come here if you don't already have an account. Things have gotten really bad.
