Ist feministfrequency.com sicher?

This website is a collection of articles and videos analyzing movies, video games, and other elements of pop culture. It uses specific theoretical lenses including feminism, which obviously some of the other raters/commenters disagree with. However, just because you disagree with the reviews or perspectives the staff is using does not make the website unethical or dangerous. This website poses no risk to your computer (malware, phishing, viruses) and does not cause individuals who use it any kind of harm (trauma, hate speech, etc.).

This is a perfectly fine website. It is a feminist site that expresses standard feminist theories on media as they apply to video games. A small brigade of gamers got really angry that someone was applying media criticism to the games they love and have decided to try and ruin Feminist Frequency.

It's a regular old pop culture website like there's a ton of. It's a "good" site insofar as it works properly and won't blow up your computer (as far as I know, anyway). It does occasionally get not-too-kid-friendly as it discusses sexuality and violence with some regularity. It's being rating-bombed by gamers who don't like some stuff it said about games they like. Somewhere along the way, it somehow got mythologised into the Führerbunker of a far-reaching jackbooted feminist Reich hellbent on killing all men and banning all video games.

Everyone is being a moron and lying about this site. There is no malware, no scams or anything other than a feminists views, not radical either. People (gamergate and anti-feminists) are just a SUPER salty bunch of crybabies. Seriously this is NOT what Wot was created for.

Good site, fair and thought provoking discussion on how women are treated in media (especially video games). Some material shouldn't be watched by young children alone, as depictions of violence against women in video games are shown. Very disappointing to see some of the ratings and comments for this site - this site has important messages many children and adults should hear.

It's a good site, in that it does not contain malware etc. Obviously if you don't agree with the topics (e.g. feminism) you may not enjoy the content, but why would you be visiting it anyway? It's not presented in a hateful manner, and does not use discrimination. The topics are delivered in a way that is clear and reasonable, and relatively objective. Some elements may be unsuitable for children as it shows depictions of violence in video games intended for adults.
