Ist freehosting.com sicher?

I have been using this site to host my website for 4 years. All in all it's a great hosting service. Recently I have been having issues with intermittent connectivity. I upgraded to the paid lite version ($20/ year) to see if the separate servers help. I sent a support ticket just now and if things are resolved, I'll change this rating to 5 stars.

The one and only really free hosting. Unlike hundreds of competitors like 000disabledfunctinos or Byethtmlonly, ***** offers fully featured PHP 7 (Yes!! PHP 7, while others only offer outdated php 5 :))) with unlimited bandwidth. ***** provider site builder with unlimited pages absolutely free of charge. One problem is that ***** does not accept .TK and other free domains.

Like a few others have said, very poor customer experience. I used them a couple of years ago and they were great. I set up a new site and can't get it to show properly online - I put in two support tickets and both were closed after a week with no response whatsoever. Diabolical - won't be renewing my contract with them and I would urge anyone thinking of using them to look elsewhere.

This is an amazing service. I am pretty sure if you want to get the same service anywhere else you are going to pay about 10 bucks a month. There are many different services. Some completely free and some are paid. I am very pleased with this hosting site and I would recommend this to everyone.

Hosted my domain with these guys, after a few weeks I'm unable to ping my domain, needless to say it doesn't load anymore. I raised a ticket and there was no response, so I created an account with another hosting company and went to transfer my domain name, only free hosting won't release it, their domain registrar lock is permanently on, even though it says it's been unlocked. - Another ticket raised, and nothing back from them, they've effectively kidnapped my domain and left me powerless to do anything. DO NOT use this website, they're really bad.

I have has a free hosting package with them for two years, for a uk domain name i had, the email service has been consistant, and the website is up 98% of the time, the odd time out or databse connection error, but I am based in uk and i am access servers in usa, so it could be anything along that route. all in all, they are doing a dam good job. As anyone who knows me knows, I love being honest. I signed up to their free hosting service maybe around a few months or so ago. From the beginning "Everything" was pretty much fine. Some time later, their website and consequentially my website was down! Yup. Not only do websites go down but their customer support and well, basically their whole website does! Combined with NO word on their Facebook page (Inactivity since last year and that was only to report that an attack had ended!) Also, somewhere (Maybe on a comment on this very page by their very "selves") it was stated they have more uptime than other companies, free or otherwise. Really? In the months that I have had my account, my websites have been going down every few weeks, I would say, and staying down for a minimum of a few days (3). Now if hackers are responsible, we are not to be complaining about their service on that alone. But, there is NO customer service! Who is to calm the sheep, restore order and explain when service shall resume No-one! We are left with a hit and miss service because we do not know the score, or rather we will have to work it out and conclude that this is a continuing occurence and thus, leave for another provider. If they were to let us know that they are having troubles, we could decide whether to stick with them or leave or return at a later date, that would be fine.. But do not be fooled by the free hosting hype, what good is it when it does not work? There are good things for free, even other free hosting providers but right now, these guys are sadly not one of them. I hope you can fix your services and I would like to support you in some way, perhaps with advice if you would like to contact me but as for my domains, I require an efficient service. I have not given up on you, just helping you in a different manner. P.S. Sorry I forgot to say/explain. Potential illegality referred to what someone pointed out, a refusal to release your domain names and I must admit, it is scary when you no longer have access to anything when the website goes down. However, with some you can operate externally, I think 1&1 let you change name servers, if not all of them.

Complete rip off! I signed up for the free hosting to test the waters for a paid account. After purchasing a domain name through them I received no response to my help ticket on how to connect my new domain name to the free hosting. After visiting their facebook page and seeing how many others were dissatisfied with the lack of customer service I had to file a dispute with Pay Pal to get my money back and release the domain name so I could purchase it via a reputable company. After being told only then by ***** that the DNS is non-refundable I then proceeded to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau in Dallas, Texas where this company is located. Remember folx, you get what you pay for but think first before you get scammed out of any money for domain names and paid hosting. They can't keep their sites online from what I'm seeing and they disappear when you need their customer support. Total scam!

No website, and no response to a "Support Ticket" for three days. Their facebook page has an entery promising free services to people who write good reviews for them here. Not exactly an ethical position for a legitimate company to take.
