Ist galttech.com sicher?

I have to agree with the positive comments about this site. None of my antivirus, malware or malicious code software picked up anything from this site. From what I gather there's nothing to download on this site, just reviews & useful informative advice about various products.

I read and agree with all the POSITIVE comments about this site - found it very helpful and informative and AVG found not problems nor did I. This rating MUST BE REVISED as it is unfair to the website in question. Can't speak to what others experienced YEARS ago but we cannot forever live in the past.

Good Site. Useful, Informative. I don't know who put bad ratings up - maybe someone who got a bad rating for their products?? Old ratings should eventually roll off (or be re-evaluated preferably by MyWot staff), when someone has defamed a great site like this with no reason besides personal gain or vengeance for a poor review. I see by some of other people's posts that you were unable to find any downloads. This may be because, if you view in the upper left hand corner of the site homepage, you will see a box stating that this site has been around since 1995. They used to be like C|Net, and Game-spot, & Zif-Davis (ZDNet). I'm glad someone took them out of the malware business. If they are now benign, that should be considered a good thing. But from now on I will continue to use caution when approaching their sight. And by the way, if anybody wants a copy of one of the programs I have mentioned, leave me a personal note, and a way to send it to you, and you can run it through your own anti-malware scanning program... The files I downloaded as mentioned below were dated Oct/15/2006. I downloaded a handful of PC utilities, mini games for when I get bored, a few old screensavers that I haven't seen for a number of years. 5 of the 9 programs I downloaded contained the Add ware (Generic.IZY.dropper) as defined by AVG Internet Security 2012, they are as follows: 1). Went through this site with a fine tooth comb for quite some time. Found no spyware, adware, viruses, trojans, highjackers and NOTHING that could be even considered remotely harmful to children. So I assume the bad ratings were from some time ago, if the bad ratings were legit to begin with, and it has been dealt with. This site is perfectly safe on all accounts and categories.

The complaints about malware make no sense to me, since I couldn't find any downloads including screensavers. My malware software didn't find anything either. Perhaps a year or so ago the website was infected with a virus that has since been cleaned up? That happened to my personal website awhile back, but I got it fixed. However, since many of the ratings mention downloads and screensavers - and one person said it has "hateful, violent or illegal content," I suspect this helpful website got a lot of malicious and untrue ratings.

I wonder if Galt Tech is the victim of defamation. I found this site tonight and roamed around it for 30 minutes. I was looking for the malicious downloads and generally looking around. I could find nothing to download, much less something malicious. I did not find any screen savers to download. I use AVG Free antivirus and it did not see any attack from this site. The reviews seem to be informative and useful. I recommend this site. If you have trouble with it, please tell everyone exactly which page you were on when the trouble occurred. Until I see it for myself, I will continue to use and trust this very good site.
