Ist giffgaff.com sicher?

Really like GiffGaff, both for the service they provide and their responsiveness to the community. I have heard of no privacy breaches, and I have had only minor technical issues with them, all of which have been solved promptly and effectively. They are a model for all networks to follow and deserve the excellent rating I am giving them.

I have no idea why people stay on mobile phone contracts instead of changing to giffgaff... I currently spend £10 and get 250 minutes, unlimited texts and a decent amount of internet usage (i have never run out). This deal lasts for a month and you can set it to 'auto-renew', but it's STILL NOT A CONTRACT! It worked out cheaper to buy an iphone outright and then use giffgaff than it would have done to stay with orange (NEVER AGAIN) and sign-up to another rip off 24 months contract. oh and since when was a 24 month contract the norm? giffgaff. you decide! Was a good, cheap network...until the middle of this year. Since then, the site has been full of technical glitches, which (conveniently?) stop a lot of people from buying goodybags with their credit - which was the system that used to make it so cheap. There is no meaningful customer support whatsoever, as I found out when they started debiting money from my bank account for a plan I did not knowingly sign up for. I wouldn't trust them -at all-. (Additional note: giffgaff users get free credit for signing new people up to the network. You may wish to bear that in mind when reading some of the comments here. It might also explain the spam that some have complained about.)
