Ist hotwire.com sicher?

In many ways their privacy policies are less of a slaugtherhouse than similar sites but: They still are doing a frightening amount of data harvesting. It all is in the **cough cough** privacy policy. They make no attempt to restrict what the 3rd parties they pass your data onto do with it. That one is BIG! Read the policy yourself and I would suggest getting a barfbag first. It also would be a very bad idea to use it through a phone- especially if you don't have geolocation shut off.

In my experience it is always better to contact a hotel directly. You can even tell the hotel you saw them on a site like Hotwire to insure a great price, but this service is so often messed up and they do not refund anything. They very often do not communicate all your reservation details to the hotels correctly. Many potential problems that for me are not worth it.

The room was "okay", kind of old. we ended up with a King sized bed instead of 2 doubles. The only other choice would have been a smoking room with 2 doubles which we declined. The breakfast was VERY minimal.....bagged donuts and boxed "honey buns", 2 kinds of cereal and bagels. I would not recommend this place again and will probably not use Hotwire for this location again. Last time we used Hotwire for this area, we got the La Quinta Inn and it was excellent and we paid the same amount. You definitely might want to look at this place and take them off your list. Usually you guys are good at this.
