Ist idgconnect.com sicher?

To allow IDG Connect to have your contact number or email address is to invite constant phone calls and emails attempting to send recycled "whitepapers" (marketing materials) aimed at getting you to spend on services that simply aren't worth purchasing.

I don't have time for this kind of spam. I was called up at work to confirm my email-address. And in my dimwittedness, I forgot to look them up, and confirmed it. I don't know how they got my address. I find their site, and their methods suspicious, and I'm not entirely sure of what they are selling.

One of the worst SPAM sites I have ever had the misfortune to be trapped by. Unsubscribe seems to work as a reconfirmation of SUBSCRIBE. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY OF YOUR INFO BECAUSE YOU CANNOT REMOVE THEM!

Spam spam spam spam spammity spam. Never heard of this legitimate looking but very shady business until they started spamming me out of the blue calling me a valued customer. Totally BS. Never heard of them and I use disposable addresses for any sort of website sign ups. Obviously they get e-mail addresses by harvesting, spambots and/or very unreliable third party sign ups. Either way it is annoying spam that seems to get through most standard filters.

Misleading site: IDG offers recycled IT whitepapers that are thinly veiled sales brochures. While there are many sites pushing those sort of white papers, legitimate websites will also have original content e.g. tech blogs, or news feeds or a very active user community. Another issue: It took a long time and many unsubscribe messages to get off their mailing list.
