Ist ipa.org.au sicher?

Your service is valuable but is being used maliciously for political purposes. I have noticed recently a number of conservative sites have been flagged as Red. The IPA is a conservative organization based in Australia, there is nothing wrong with their website, it is safe and should be trusted. People are using your service to turn people away from conservative websites, this will lead many conservatives and independents to not use your service,

Usually an organisation with any of the words Institute, Public and Affairs in the title indicate a far right leaning "think tank" Not so in this case. I was expecting to disagree with everything but was agreeably surprised to find that this is not hardcore, irrational politics. Names may be named but without the usual rabid sledging. This site should not offend any reasonable person even if you disagree with some views.

The IPA's site is certainly fine with regards to safety. Questions relating to its funding are legitimate, but I would suggest the other reviewer judge the organisation (and the website) based on specific qualms with specific pronouncements, rather than indicting the entire organisation (and website) as 'unethical' based on a statement from over a decade ago. The site is certainly made to appeal to those with a certain political or ideological position (eg. the '75 radical propositions' proposed here: http://ipa.org.au/publications/2080/be-like-gough-75-radical-ideas-to-transform-australia), but that hardly makes it unethical or misleading. Again, I would suggest the other reviewer highlight some specific examples of misleading claims and unethical conduct.

The IPA is a "think-tank" for hire. In polite company it has made no secret of its funding by tobacco and fossil fuel interests, yet this is not disclosed on its website or any of its voluminous public commentary. Energy Forum provides the wherewithal to allow me to spend pretty much full-time looking at competition issues with particular reference to energy issues. Again, we don’t represent the firms in the forum as such, and there are occasions when we may take positions which are somewhat different from those of the funders. Obviously that doesn’t happen too often, otherwise they’d stop funding us, but it does happen occasionally. That’s who I represent and indeed, although there’s a separate paper insofar as United, Citipower and Texas are concerned, that also is fully consistent with the kinds of views of IPA, otherwise we wouldn’t be putting it forward in that respect.”
