Original comment "10 months ago": WoT is broken, site safety ratings are unreliable, and its advertising claims are hyperbole. Due to continuous user ranking by rules-based behavior quality, user-administrator collaboration, and a forum for historical record, WoT (Web of Trust) was the world's best web site safety database, acknowledged by giants such as Facebook, Google, and Twitter, in which safety was rated from input by trusted users and trusted sources such as VirusTotal. Due to periodic acquisitions by unserious new owners and increasing incompetence in application development and web design, WoT has inexorably devolved into a dysfunctional, untrustworthy spam farm. Whether this debacle is intentional or accidental is irrelevant; given the current degree of degradation, WoT could only be saved by recreating it from scratch.

I have been using their extension for a while now, and I believe it is useful... however, I will be treading carefully from now on, thanks to some earlier reviews. I also noticed that the site for my neighborhood supermarket was marked as unsafe. LOL.

I have not tried visiting any "phishy" websites so I'm unsure as of the accuracy of the true safety using this extension provides; though in theory it's a very good and useful service if you're someone who spends a lot of time going to different websites just surfing around. While there's nothing inherently wrong to see from my end, I can't justify giving the extension and site a high ranking as at 4.7% with over 100K reviews this review won't make a difference or have notice in the ratings. On Google it says the extension is free however I've even gotten an e-mail and after adding the extension it says I have to pay for the extension which causes some confusion. I'd just added the extension for my Applied Computer Concepts college course so if it ends up saying it's unusable without payment I may as well just remove the extension. If it still works without payment I'll consider leaving it on and bumping up the review rating.
