Ist nchsoftware.com sicher?

Their software that I purchased has worked rather well for me, but their constant nag screens continually popping up and causing me to have to stop and delete them has caused me to avoid purchasing further products from them. And there's no way to simply permanently block these pop-up ads.

I am pretty sure they are hacking hard drives. I was using Express Rip to move a Santana album to my hard drive and when I pulled up the playlist a Johnny Winter album called "Progressive Blues Experience" popped up. It is on my harddrive. Earlier, the same thing occurred with a Norah Jones album, but with an Argentine music album. It then dawn on me that the only way this could be happening would be that the software was hacking my harddrive. I want to know what they were doing on my harddrive. This is very suspicious. Does anyone know who to report this too?

Useful software, but wrapped around ancient open source tools. The components are packaged with old installers that need admin rights and mostly fail on newer Windows. The installers for the components tend to trigger warnings in some AV, but testing with VirusTotal this seems to be false positives. The software uses a version of OpenSSL from 2007 so should not be trusted for use with accounts.

How do I explain NCH? My story is when I downloaded a trial for "Wave Pad Sound Editor". The program itself was fine, although, after the trial ended, I suddenly needed to download "Prism video file converter" to run .mov files, which I could already run. I also couldn't open .zip files normally by double-clicking because I had to download "Express zip", even though I already had 7-zip installed. I also noticed a decrease in my computer's speed, which I'm still dealing with today. Hell, I can't even run cs: go! (A very small game for low-end computers) Overall, I despise NCH and their software, it's annoying, suspicious, and deceitful.

the capture program is good, BUT adds NHC SUIT to your computer without asking (i've very very VERY cautious to decline extra's), now all my links have changed icons, all my video's, zip files, exe files and everything have changed icons, but not default program (in some cases) so it's really difficult to know what program is responsible. VERY SNEAKY.

They advertise FREE software but it NEVER is. You can download it free but to use it you pay. Most of what have tried from NCH doesn't work properly anyway. If you do download anything be sure to custom install or you will unwittingly install a load of stuff that you don't want and be nagged ad nauseum to upgrade.

I bought the audio conversion software and simply found it to be no good, not converting itunes m4 to mp3 for instance. I have free software which is legal and does a better job. It seems money is there only or main interest, Also they send me update notifications which always turn out to be advertising another overpriced product, I direct them to junk now.

No, none of this is free. You name it, you have to buy it. They offer 14-day trials and after that, you can't used it anymore. There is a way of downgrading to the free version, but that doesn't work anymore. Therefore, ***** has removed any software from NCH from their lists. AVOID IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR FREE SOFTWARE.
