Ist netquote.com sicher?

I submitted a request for a quote for homeowner's insurance. ***** requires that you give them your EXACT date of birth and gender in order to receive quotes. I assumed this was legal, but when I investigated afterwards, I found out that Homeowner's insurance policies can NOT use age or gender in determining your risk. So why does ***** want this information? To sell it, that is why. Their fineprint is so fine you would need a lawyer to undertstand what happens to this information. I expected more from Bankrate.com, which owns Netquote.com.

I used a non-contact phone number, so of course I wouldn't get any calls. But, I did give out a phone number to the insurance company I decided to purchase from. I found the emailed quotes were comparable to what the insurance company quote was--I'd use the site again. The site is Not blacklisted for spam.

As an Agent who once used their service..... I can only say we quickly withdrew and could not apologize enough to the unfortunate people who got caught up in the misrepresentation by this company. They only desire to get a lead and sell it to as many buyers as possible. The people we spoke to claimed they received so many calls they lost count. AGENTS YOUR COST PER SALE WILL BE ASTRONOMICAL!!!

Nothing but contact harvesting. For a service to be called "NETquote" you would expect to receive your quote over the NET, like eHealthInsurance.com, but NOO. They passed my phone number on to agents who rang my phone off the hook, but had no idea of what kind of coverage I had entered ON THE WEBSITE?? So I had had to go thru a whole new sales pitch WITH EVERY CALL COMING IN!!! And the website even referred me to a partner provider... guess who?? eHealthInsurance.com!!!! I had already used them, and got my quotes online, without annoying sales calls!!!

BBB in and for TX advise STRONGLY AGAINST anything that sounds "TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE" rule. With the economy the way it is today, SCAMMERS, SPAMMERS, and ALL EVIL is amongst us! Be extremely CAUTIOUS and PROCEED with EXTREME CAUTION! May everyone STAY SAFE and without the headaches via YOUR identity, time, valuables, etc. be PROTECTED at all times! Have a BLESSED day, week, month, year, and lifetime, but PLEASE USE YOUR COMMON SENSE that gets you across the street unharmed, and DO NOT USE YOUR DIPLOMA(s) or non-DIPLOMA(s) EDUCATION, use the good old fashioned COMMON SENSE that is INSTINCT!

This site does what it says - provides some comparison shopping and contacts for insurance. Once you get the quotes from the various vendors, you may receive followup messages from the vendors - not this company - that some might call spam. But this site did not cause it. They only provide a quote and a contact. Give it a break people - everything can be called spam to you, but not necessarily to everyone else. Look at what the site offers first before berating them!!
