Ist paypal.com sicher?

My father sold his old mobile phone on eBay and was forced to use PayPal to collect the funds. On receipt, the buyer alleged that the phone didn't work. The buyer is refusing to send it back, saying it is "evidence" (evidence of what, exactly? Who knows...) - but, and this is the funny part, the phone itself was used to send that message! Unfathomably, PayPal have ruled in the buyer's favour. My father appealed, and the appeal was rejected. My father now has no goods, no payment, and actually had to pay fees for the whole debacle! He has no alternative now but to take the buyer to the Small Claims Court where he hopes to gain redress, and it's now going to cost him even more money just to get what he's owed. This is just one of many instances I've heard of where people have been scammed by unscrupulous buyers, and having now witnessed for myself how little PayPal care about honesty and justice, I will never do business via PayPal again.

I have been buying and selling on eBay and PayPal for a long time now, and have never had a problem. Do not listen to the other comments, this is a completely trustworthy site. These idiots probably sent their money to some scam site and blamed it on PayPal.

Unless I experience something bad, it is my moral obligation to give a fair rating. My Paypal is associated with my two bank accounts and a credit card. As a Seller, I did not appreciate charges from both Ebay and Paypal. But as a Buyer (which is my current position), I never had any problem with Paypal and that includes complaints I filed against an Ebay Sellers. Except for one claim, all my other claims for refund were quick and easy. My latest claim was against a website that isn't very trustworthy. I was charged on the first day of my trial period for a service that wasn't reliable, and when I asked for refund, I was told that the charge was already reversed and that Paypal was holding refund due me. Well, I didn't think it was Paypal holding it so I filed a claim for resolution and Paypal successfully claimed my money from Seller. For little amounts of transactions, I do not believe that Paypal will sacrifice my trust.

One of the best ways to use your money on the web. The service does what it is made for and does it well. I haven't run into any problems with their service although I have heard stories of them freezing funds if they suspect the money came from shifty sources. Generally a good service.

Useless, worthless, horrible service. As long as paypal gain money, they will always side with the most gain. I bought some cars parts from a website about $900. The store never email tacking info or anything . Paypal claim it can't be track there for must not be true. I lost that money, wish i bought it with a credit card, that way i could reverse the charge.
