Great news site. Wonderful site for learning about things that interest you and about things you never knew existed. There is adult content and off-colored language but there are filters on the site and age verification for those areas. Proper parenting applies.

I've been a "redditor" for about 6 or 7 years. Hard to give a rating, since reddit is such a huge site nowadays with a huge and diverse userbase. However, the site is crawling with the most disgusting racists, misogynists ("men's rights" activists) and other bigots. There is also a sizeable paedophile element, though this has diminished somewhat since the r/jailbait scandal of a few years back, when the admins were finally forced to remove sickening borderline child pornography from the site. Otherwise it's a perfectly good site if you carefully avoid the creeps and bigots that lurk on it.
