Used this site for a recent business trip to Los Angeles. Prices were competitive to Expedia and Hotwire. Booked a 5 star hotel and had a lovely stay thanks to www.secretescapes.com.

This is the same site used by the Daily Telegraph so how can it be a bad site/spam - also, you have to sign up to it to get the emails in the first place.

Its a good site we have used a few times, email is set by the user not the site. Again why the poor rating ??

a very useful site BUT you must sign up to see the pricing of their deals which means you also get spammed with offers

I agree with the other positive comments - I signed up to receive their notifications, so I don't consider it to be spam. Those who call it spam - maybe someone signed you up for it, hoping you'd take them on one of their holidays?

I only received emails when I requested them. It is very easy to reduce the frequency or unsubscribe altogether if, like me, they were a bit too frequent.

You can tell this is SPAM (other than by the fact that the "advertised site" uses a known UK-based SPAM service to send their CRAP) by how many "this is a wonderful, useful site" SPAMMED comments. SPAM. Yeppers.

I have been bombarded with spam offers from this site. I never signed up with them and all attempts to have my details removed have not stopped the deluge. I researched the company which does seem to rate above average but I would not use them instead of travelrepublic

I do not understand all the negative comments. I fear they are from competitors and individuals with too much time on their hands. I am p...d off with this site as the feedback on websites appears to be politically rather than consumer inspired. I have always found the site good and trustworthy!

Spam? No way! Emails are received after normal sign-on process. Site deals with genuine discounts on selected hotels/holidays.

Can't see why this site has a poor rating. You sign up to receive offers on hotel breaks. It's hardly compulsory nor is it a harvesting site. so why poor rating? The site is now being advertised on UK national television.

Spam-advertised domain. This appears to be some kind of vacation network-marketing program. Apparently connected with the similarly-spammy dealchecker.co.uk. Unsolicited email says 'Tell your friends about Secret Escapes', so I figured a posting on ***** would be the best way to do this.
