Several negative points: it takes a long time for them to confirm an order and ship the package. Unacceptable in year 2017. Usually they send the pre-shipping info 2 days before it's been sent from their warehouse. International shipping is worthless. They use DHL GlobalMail which means the package gets handed over to destination country postal service. Since it is nutrition it usually gets stuck in custom as they dont have express customs as DHL, UPS and FedEx has. So expect 2-3 weeks after it has been shipped. Also pay for cheapest possible when ordering international since they all will arrive and will be handled the same way by destination country postal service.

As an international customer I am very dissatisfied with their customer service. International tracking code is not sent automatically and after being a customer for years I received a package wet through and through on all sides due to a package of coconut oil not being packed properly or with a defect causing a leakage. Swanson did not take the responsibility for this and did not offer to reship the items although the package was returned. At the post office I was also told that customs had not opened the package due to its condition. As it has not be tempered with the responsibility falls on Swanson, but they did not want to hear it. They gave me a refund on the products, but not shipping. It is not the first time I am dissatisfied and although they might provide better service to their national customers, those outside the US should not expect too much from this company...

Due to almost total absence of regulation of the products listed at this site, you are taking your life in your hands to consume any of them. A recent study of products like these showed not only huge amounts of ingredient substitution with many of the bottles sold as containing one thing, found to contain nothing of the advertised ingredients and often containing ingredients which could kill some people due to allergic reactions. There is also no indication of possible interaction among these items and between these items and other prescription medications. Stay away from supplements. You don't know what you're getting and even if they contain what they say they do, there is no evidence that any of it does any good and much of it can do harm.

Although I trust Swanson vitamins, my rating: "be cautious" for suitable for children is more based on thinking children need to filter this information through parents. Have been doing business with them many years without issue Please, note there are some "Red Donuts" about this site, but believe it is a 3rd party - hack - not Swanson's.

I have purchased items from Swanson many times over the years. Always saved money due to their low prices. They have good customer service too. One tip for Swanson is they need to expand upon their privacy policy wording, it is too brief and should go into more detail about cookies, etc.

I wrote a previous comment about this site. Since I can't retract I'll write another comment. After speaking to their corp office, who assured me they would give my name or physical address to anyone and the chat person was incorrect on info I bought a few things there. It has been over 2 mths and I am pleased to say I have received no snail mail from any new companies that could have come via Swanson Vitamins. They are true to their word of NOT sharing, giving, or selling my info. I even asked them not to send me a catalog and they haven't. I am most pleased they honor a customer's request and their prices are fantastic. They also said they were going to retrain their staff to know a customer can call and ask not to receive 3rd party advertisements.
